One of my favorite bands, I own most of their albums, sadly. I'd love to go to one of their concerts!

Their a progressive rock/metal band, and give them at least a try.  They range from complex instrumentals to soft toned playing easily.


They have at least 9 albums, and working on their 10th.  They have a small handful of concert videos.  The band started 1985 til now, from NY, USA!

The band is well known for the technical proficiency of its instrumentalists, who have won many awards from music instruction magazines. Dream Theater's members have collaborated with many other notable musicians. Guitarist John Petrucci has been named as the third player on the G3 tour six times, more than any other invited guitarist, following in the footsteps of Eric Johnson and Robert Fripp.

What really pulled me into the band was their AMAZING Prog songs. Their utterly amazing to me. Such decor and songwriting, the lyrics are pretty amazing as well.

So try them, see if you like them. :) Great band, imo.
