I did notice - too late - all the typos in my last post; sorry about those, I usually proofread better than that.

The way I deal with sci-fi is basically, I pretend it's fantasy. Forget the logic behind it and just write it. Besides, this is basically horror anyway - just add blood and we'll have plenty of fun

Anyway, I haven't checked the story thread yet, don't know yet if you've posted, so I'm off to do that.

EDIT: Ok, awesome. I wasn't expecting anything near that long to be honest. I'm going to re-read at least once and start in on my next update once it gets dark. (Ehem, no reason really). I loved Corey's "F*ck that, do you speak English?" line - gold!

After a reread I have to ask - are we moving again? The Doc's 'other' camp? Is it actually another barracks off this one (assuming, what he mentioned before about sealing the breached sector until it was repaired) OR there's another place we don't yet know about? Do you have thoughts/plans for this or am I going this one alone, creatively speaking? Just curious. Hit me back so I know where/what to do =)

Definitely moving again, but unless something dramatic happens (which as we both know is highly possible) we oughta go back to the clinic. After all, they're leaving Amy behind. Anyway, I still had a bit more planned, but I don't think I'm going to have a good opportunity to type it up. So if you want to intercede at this point, go for it.

I'd thought we'd use your idea of a sort of zombie pit that the Doc visits now and then. He'd have a makeshift camp there to spend the night at and the older kids (Selene, Amelia, Lucas) would know where it is. Amelia would've freaked out in the midst of everything and run there. I'm still working on prezackly what's happened to Dean

Sounds good. Will be a race to see who get's to penning it up first now however, my day off was yesterday, and I have work this arvo/tonight and an early 4:30am tomorrow, so realistically I won't have time now either for at least 2 days. Damn these time zone differences, 'eh? No matter. If you pen something before then great, if not, I'll aim for Wednesday/Thursday.

As for zombie pit - totally. It's about time we took this lot out of their 'comfort zone' and gave them a real shock to deal with, nothing like a few hundred, even thousand, maybe more walking dead for this lot to band together again I say. Thankies ^^

Oh and I just realized I never CONGRATULATED THE STORY THREAD ON ITS FIFTH PAGE! Hahah. Not sure why I feel the need, but we're certainly awesome for keeping this alive so long. I recently copied all of the Park into a Word document for a friend to read (he may be joining us, if he can wade though all the old material successfuly *lol*), and it tallied up to 153 pages at font size 8. 91 of that was yours, Rav

Okay. For the record I started something before bed last night, I'll get to work on it soon, and will aim (fingers crossed, arms broken) to have something coherant and postworthy by wednesday night at the lastest. It's worthy of noting (arguably) in my MS Word doc (I've been copying/pasting every update as we go along) I'm at 267 pages, font @ 12 (I'm a blind 'ole dingbat is why) - I'm anal in the details, I edit even this and format with bold and italics as we post it (its even got a spiffy page header, gritty lookin' but different than just a 'normal' page) - I just up the paragraph spacing from 2 or 3 lines to one - I like that fast paced feel (shame I can't write that way, and get always bogged down with the details ;)) Typos for the most part stay as they are... unless it irks me to a point of repair. Perfectionist? Nope. Just 'cause. *lol*

And you might have someone else coming in to this huh? Freakin' sweet! You have informed them for the most part they don't need to catch up, right? Who wants to know everything in this context and get weighted down/overwhelmed with the details? All he needs to know is the basic setting and a rough idea of the faces he may encounter - the rest will be picked up as he goes along. We tried this theory before but the others obviously weren't into that. Hope this new face comes aboard, exciting! (But hell if not, we're managing between the two of us, never had a collab before, I'm a collab... 'noobie' lets just say, at least I was before this. You and I are doing pretty well for a good old fashioned time waster! Woot us!)

Heh, well, I did give him the short version, but he wasn't confused so I figured I had to have left out something. Copying all of the Park post by post, trying to get all the paragraph breaks somewhat even, making sure the poster was clear ... *shudder* Quite a job. I think I'll be updating it as we go from now on though. What the heck.

Oh if only this were the right thread for it, the things I'd say to that *sigh* Funnily enough though having not 'seen' Mr Reznor for quite some time I've got to admit he's looking mighty damn fine, if only in that pic / your avy. Then again I've always been a bit partial to the scruff (anti-clean shaven... clean shaven face! Haha Thought I'd ammend that naturally) but holy heck, at the risk of hijacking arguably our own thread *fans self* That guy's a mighty fine specimen indeed! (Dave's not bad either, hahaha) I'd much prefer my doc to look like that, person would be sick all the damned time! Haha.

And yeah, the avy/sig is part of the overall fantasy, if I posted myself all over the place would mean I was probably confident, comfortable in my own skin, self assured and really wanting for nothing - and I'm arguably none of those things, so I'm encompassing this grandios persona around a few pics and the frequent fangirl utterances of a distant and arguably meaningless name. Tickles my fancy some - person is only ever this happy when she's submerged in her writing, and lets face it, it's double the pleasure combining the two - so why ruin the illusion, 'eh?

As for the friend you gave the updates/story to - all I can say is best of luck. If he's still keen after that he's trully worthy of joining the ranks. Looking forward to seeing what comes of it. And I'll work on mine more tonight. Make no promises about posting tonight though, damn tired as it is and still waiting for the second wind to kick in - might make it to the 24hours awake period if I try hard enough. Cant guarantee anything I post at that point will make any sense at all let alone be worth posting, but we'll see ;)

EDIT: Jess I have a fair bit drafted up as of last night and as promised will continue to work on it today and have something to post by tonight. Depending on what I get done I might even have it up sooner. Warning ahead - it's going to be a long read. Be prepared for ensuing eye strain *lol*

EDIT#2: Okay, It's been a hell of a slog but I've managed to scratch up about 24 MS Word pages, and no before you ask I haven't editted it *lol* I'm going to post it now in order to get it up and give myself a chance to visually recover - staring at the screen this long's not just giving me a headache, but I'm also starting to make silly typos I otherwise shouldn't be.

Be warned yes it contains a few... erm 'explicit' scenes, and you'll know what they are when you get to them of course. I tried for what it was worth to keep things arguably postable - I'm probably pushing the envelope here but be damned right now if I care. I've also left a few 'things' for you to explain or ellaborate on should you feel that way inclined. I know it's a lot to read and yes a lot to process but for the purposes of continuity I had to write to a certain 'end' point and be comfortable in leaving you somewhere fresh to start, rather than leaving you on the edge of something you might not be so sure on how best to approach. Anyway, what's done is done, and I hope for what it's worth you can work from it. Consider this a friendly 'heads up' - hope it all makes sense. Time will tell now won't it?

Just a quick note, Jess, if you read this before you get to the story page, great. I DO have another update in the works, only small, but the wait here's killing me, and I'll be busy next 2 days or so anyway, so wanted to get the ideas out and down before they evaporate. I'm going to assume as I post this there's no forthcoming objection from you. Obviously you're busy too, all good, haven't seen you here last 2 days so I'm just going to continue on for a little fraction longer because, quite frankly, I can. Hope that doesn't ruin any plans you may/not have had. Hit me back asap if it is, otherwise... more soon =)

I've been miserable all week with wanting to type but knowing I had to wait until I saw what you'd done. I even thought about doing something with the intention of editing however I had to to make it fit - but I'm glad I didn't! I had a different idea for Doc M's other hideout, but yours is so much awesomer. I can totally work with this, ominous shadows and all; that particular point actually works in really well with my plan. To be brutally honest what I've got can almost slot in anywhere (with some minor adjustments of course) so you go ahead. I originally planned to have my minor update done by now but alas I'm about to leave for work and will be out tonight after that, so I'd rather not hold you up now. Apologies for... whatever the hell I intended to apologize for ;)

Yeah, I realised myself after the fact the whole other lair has a whole 'Doom' feel about it but *shrugs* w/e. I'm happier here in our underground hell at the mo, it harkens back to when Amy and co first joined us and all that talk about the military and weird scientists and such - not to mention we have limitless possibilities here and may I add several hundred dead outside and in and some as 'pets' in their offices *lol* gotta love it.

Okay leaving it in your capable hands. Off to deal with a real life ravenous horde - hungry customers XD Good luck, catch up soon =)

Awesome! Haha - He's alive! *does happy dance* I dunno why, I was almost expecting that shadowy figure by the fire to be him, but this way worked out so much better. It is, in a fashion, a rare 'happy ending' in this story we don't often see. I'm wondering of course 'how' but am assuming as with most things in this post-apocalyptic world there's a lot we can't/won't understand. That in itself gives us limitless possibilities to play with - and ironically enough 'Jonathan's appearance got me thinking about something I had failed to plan for or should I say really consider in this underground dungeon of the dead - pockets of resistence. I did actually pen something before your post as mentioned and it will still fit, exploring on this theme a fraction, so that's also a bonus. I'm also wondering of course what the others will say/think/do when they see Dean alive - questions will be asked, and no doubt blame will be laid (all the blood in the bathtub, his and Amelia's disappearance, and her 'turning' - the Doc's looking for someone to point the finger at, we know where it's headed) and I'm wondering what Dean will say for himself for that time he was AWOL. Added to that we have Corey and Selene now wandering this hellhole alone, and we've got the team split up yet again.

So I'm going to assume it's my turn now?

Jess, my net's been cut off, so I won't be able to post anytime soon. I do have an update prepared but probably won't have access to a computer now til Uni on Tuesday so I can't post it until then. I hope that's going to be okay with you? I know, I've kept you waiting this long, very sorry. Plan is, I suppose, is that I can post this and by the time you get to read it you can pen something before the following Tuesday when I'm back on again (Tuesday's one of my days out at Uni/computer labs ^^) so IF I can't get this update posted before then it will be up Tuesday at the latest. I already have 10 pages and view to a few more...

IF you can't wait that long I have basically written so far that Rae and Keith have left the Doc behind. Dave was meant to join us but has *ahem* injured his ribs so he's been forced to stay behind... He's not going to stay there, he's going to follow on his own. So IF you want to pen something over the weekend I can pick up from wherever you leave off? Your call. OR basically, I can wait and see what you come up with, because as it stands at the moment I haven't really pushed the story forward much, it's basically filler from Rae's POV during your last post... so you writing anything won't necessarily ruin anything I have so far... an easier way of course is to say Rae and Kieth left to find Selene, David was meant to stay behind and rest his cracked ribs or whatever and got too restless and followed out alone, and now you can go from there - and I can then write Rae, David (and maybe Keith, unless you write we all got separated and he's now back with you?) are wandering the compound alone... actually that's a better idea. Feel free to write what you want and just mention perhaps we 3 (or two) are missing... that leaves me free to write what I want then and I wont hod you up!

Hope that doesn't confuse you... but again, that's only if you are ready to post/write again - and you're generally restless enough to do so each weekend ;) Just throwing the ideas out there, up to you to take or leave them.

Anyhoo that's it from me at the mo. As I said I'll be back online definately Tuesday (AEST) so if you get around to reading this or posting before then I'll catch up then. Got the whole day til 6pm out there in the labs so I guess I'll use it constructively... like being on here rather than studying XD Best of luck etc and hope to catch up soon!

Update now up. It's long. And not exactly what I had in mind when I started penning it but no matter had to get something up so hopefully now you have something to work with... that's your call. I'll be checking back every few days but realistically will be dropping my posts back (as in posts for this story) back to once a week, and realistically they won't be huge posts, but if I'm inspired I'll try.

What you decide to do from where I have left it (post) is entirely up to you. I leave all three of our fates at your discretion. Whatever you decide I'll work around. To be honest I haven't decided what to do about it (and you'll understand what I mean when you get there) - so if you take that decidion from me I won't be upset XD Make my life easier to be honest, but anyway, just whatever you decide to pen next I'll work my way around/through/with. I have no idea from one post to the next exactly what I'm doing with any of these characters, as if that wasn't clear by now ;) No matter, to save confusing you any further the point is I leave it entirely up to you who 'survives' and in what manner. That's all I'll say. Now I'll eagerly await your response and take it from there!
