Ok well I knew they becuase a friend of mines showed me Before I Forget. Now when I first heard it I luaghed because back then I wasn't into heavy stuff like that. I was into music like LP, MCR, and GD etc. Well I started to think of that one song a lot so I downloaded it. I asked my friend if she could tell me other songs of theirs and she told The Nameless. So when I downloaded the song I saw this one song called People=Sh*t which just caught my attention. I swear that was the one song I wouldn never stop listening to for like a year straight. Then my brother (he's was like 12 or 13 I forgot) got into Before I Forget and The Nameless and bought their first CD. So we listened to it. There sound was very different from Before I Forget and that's when I found out that Corey messed up his throat. So like a year passed and I listened to the whole CD and of all the songs a I only dislike 1 song.
Now my bro bought that CD because he thought that Before I Forget was on their. So I went to go get Vol. 3 and well in my opinion it's not hard like Slipknot. I only dislike one song of their on that CD also lol. Now I bought Iowa and imho it was WAY TOO HEAVY!! I swear it was like too heavy. I only listened like 5 tracks and that's it. So I gave it a try like 2 years later and and now I like only maybe half the album. Never will get into the whole thing.
Then of course I bought All Hope Is Gone on the exact day it came out. I honostly liked it. It's just that Ghenna is my least least favorite. I got the deluxe edition with the making of the album and also three exrta songs. They are Child Of Burning Time, 'Til We Die, and Vermillion Pt. 2 (Bloodstone remix).
And not just that but a friend of mines from school got a hold of MFKR!! I was begging the dude to make a copy!!! Now it isn't what I expected. It's like Metal and Jazz put together. Altho there are songs on their that were remade. Like (sic), Only One, Tattered and Torn, and Iowa (song). Also with their album Crowz Before I Forget came form song called Carve (you can youtube it).
I've heard a lot of stuff about them, but due to certain prejudices I have yet to check them out properly. It's not the masks, believe me.

My brother has met the whole of Slipknot and got to hang out with them for a night. But yeah I reckon Slipknot is an awesome band. My favourite songs are: People = Sh*t, Duality, Vermoillion Pt 1 and Wait and Bleed.

I HAVE seen them in concert, last year in fact, and OMG they kick serious @$$ live! The show was visually incredible, the whole band was cohesive, interactive, just awesome. I wasn't a huge fan before I saw them, but a friend was going and invited me along. Am so glad I went. I appreciate them now having seen them live (I think you can tell more about a band live than by recorded releases, some bands sound crap live, good ones sound great regardless) - and since then I've been far more into them, at least their sound. Amusing thing was, I have a sort of phobia about masks, and my friend invited me along thinking the shock value would make or break me. I survived in tact and came away with a few CDs, a tee shirt, and a whole new respect for the band. Fav tunes; Snuff, Psychosocial, The Heretic Anthem, Dead Memories, Gehenna.
Cool. I wanna go to a live show of theirs but seeing how my mom isn't into them due to their masks I can't go. I could've went to see them with Disturbed but nnnnooooo mother knows best. Well with me I like almost all the songs from them. It's like every CD has a slow song. Like Tattered and Torn, Iowa (I think), and Gehenna. Those types of songs I meant are like....ok.
Well, I'm not really a fan, but I can tell you this! I went from hating them completely to appreciating some of their songs so much as to setting them as my ringtone! That was a HUGE step, wasn't it? Now, favourite songs by them are Snuff, Vermillion and Before I Forget. That's all I can contribute about Slipknot, really! Oh and also that I HAVE seen them unmasked! Haha yay! :D
^ I know sis, that was a HUGE step for you! I remember when I initially asked you to listen to at least Snuff you were hesitant - look at you now, now you're even into Cradle of Filth thanks to dear Chris! Very proud, very proud <3
@ Sponge - that sucks! Damn... and you would have loved it too... well maybe one day, huh? Never say never... ;)

I like what I've heard, but since I've yet to find an uncensored version of any of their CDs (damn you, Walmart! Damn you and your 'clean' versions!), I haven't actually got any of their stuff.
Before I Forget is on GH III, and it's awesome. I also know Pschosocial from the radio...can't remember any more names.
^Yes they do. I love Through Glass, 30/30-150 and Bother.

Well, MFKR is WAY different. I thought it was gonna be the same as their other stuff but nope. I didn't wanna believe it but like I said, I only like Do Nothing/B**chslap. That song is actaully funny!
