A movie about The White Stripes is in the pipeline.
Details are scarce, but according to Self-Titled magazine, Jack White is currently mixing 40 songs for the soundtrack and it's expected to hit cinemas (possibly) later this year.
Add this to White's latest side-project commitments - The Dead Weather's debut album and the freshly-confirmed (by Dead Weather and Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita) summer tour "going through the fall and possibly beyond" - and you have to wonder how he does it.
A movie? I wouldn't mind watching this at all. Just imagine how the theaters will be! So is their going to be a plot or is it going to be a documentary?
Knowing Jack either is possible. I'd be inclined to think it would be a mockumentary, if he did anything doco styled it would have elements of fiction in it to give it greater audience appeal (as an artist he loves the spotlight, as a husband and father I doubt he wants too much personal exposure) - throw in a few dozen songs and there ya go... On the other side considering the styles that man goes through (his stylist must be like a kid on a sugar rush - no wait, maybe that's Jack himself XD) it could quite possibly be pure fiction like The Beatles Yellow Submarine type thing... *shrugs* Have to wait and see...
What I've seen out of the movie (Coffee and Cigarettes) I'll just download the Jack and Meg part as well. Unless it's a rockumentry, like what Jack's done with Jimmy Page and The Edge (It Might Get Loud). But I really doubt it.
