KSE do rock, not saying that they aren't, but I'm saying that there's still so much pop elements in their music that it can't be called strictly heavy metal. Metalcore, on the other hand, is a quite common genre these days. It doesn't mean the music is bad... Though you probably know how I feel about the last 2-3 KSE albums.
You got quite a random shuffle mode XD And concerning Sum 41, not a big fan of them really, but my friend loves them, so I'm aware of their music. Tom Thacker, the singer/guitarist of Gob (another great band my friend and I both love) plays in Sum 41 these days, so I keep following them around though.
I'm listening to the hollowness and sincerity that is silence.

Sonny, the way he is on stage, he connects with them, emotional and in every kind of way you can imagine, you know, musically, and I think that they can see that it’s not, you know, a put on, it’s not something that’s fake, it’s real." - Mark Daniels of P.O.D.
yeah my musical library expands to rock and all but also to some house music to techno to orchestra. Yeah man it's just a lot of things I like except rap. Can't stand it dude.
MAN! I thought no one else knew Janus! Great band, and that song is definitely their best. And it's great that you're expanding your library, but I'd suggest giving rap a chance as well. Not all rap is awful like the mainstream is trying to make it seem...
I'm listening to my new demo Stars Over Kerimäki. Ha.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sorry if I came out rude.

Nah man it's cool. You didn't come out rude dude. I do listen to some rap. Just not the mainstream kinda ya know. More like the type with meaning and feeling to it. Like Ludacris's songs are funny and meaningful. I just wish there was a rapper out there that had that in them instead of focusing on the money.

Ya know this band is changing a lot dude. Like, at first they were good. A lot of people got there first album and almost everyone liked them. But on there 4th album that's where they changed a lot and then came there 5th album and...they just changed big time. And they eve kicked the drummer too. IDK why but I thought he was good. Not as good as there first drummer. But yeah...they need to get back to there old sound, but that's just me.
That's a story that fits way too many bands this days. Debut albums are the best about 75% of the time, period.

I didn't even know that Oo Just checked Wikipedia. Malakian is an ass, it seems...

Gets me through the angry times *nods* Nothing like blaring it four or five time to burn away all those hot emotions. One of the few I really like from Untouchables, sadly. Here To Stay is good, Blame isn't bad, Bottle Up Inside and Embrace are okay. But Wake Up Hate, Alone I Break, and Thoughtless are the ones I really like. And I blather so long a new song came on:
Swallow - Korn
Yeah I'm listening to my Korn playlist because it rocks. And because I was RPing the character whose playby is Jon Davis earlier and never cut it off *shrugs*
Malakian? Full name; Daron Malakian. He is the guitarist and singer in both, Scars on Broadway and SOAD. Or was...
And Jess, that's funny that you say you don't like many songs off of Untouchables - I love the album personally and it's probably my favorite album from KoRn. Blame in particular is lovely, I've had that build-up stuck in my head many many times. Wake Up Hate is indeed one of those songs that you just have to mosh to... And if you're not close to a crowd of people... Well, jumping around your room like crazy will just have to do then.
Listening to Thursday - Wind-Up. Starts out like a predictable pop punk song, but turns out to be sick and brutal hardcore. Me likey...

^ Yeah, I was thinking you'd said Untouchables was one of your favorites, but I just couldn't get into it somehow. Could be because the last album I'd gotten was Life is Peachy so, even though I knew better, I was unconsciously hoping for it to be similar. More likely though, it's because I listen to industrial a lot, and Untouchables just isn't on par with, say, Rammstein or NIN or We.Got.This.Far. I found myself thinking of it as amatuerish *winces* But keeping in mind it was their first stab at the genre, I'm hoping I'll like See You On The Other Side better.
And I thought Serj Tankian was the singer from SOAD *scratches head* Malakian came before him?
Fair enough. I don't listen to that much industrial rock or metal so I'm probably over-loving Untouchables, ha. As for See You On The Other Side... I actually think that it might be KoRn's worst album. I own it and there was a time when I was really into it, but looking back at it now... It's just not KoRn.
Serj Tankian is the singer from SOAD, yes, but Malakian did vocals too. Mostly background ones, sometimes lead. In Scars On Broadway he does all the lead vocals.
Listening to Thursday - I Am the Killer

Hahah nice. Considering I'd probably say Untouchables is my least favorite Korn album, that kinda bodes well for See You On the Other Side in a backwards sort of way. I know I got Throw Me Away stuck in my head for weeks on end, and it continues to be one of the few songs I dance to, so *shrugs* We'll see.
Ah, okay. I don't know much about SOAD, but I was just about sure Serj's solo album and SOAD's vocal matched up, so I was confused there for a second.
Twist - Korn (according to my grandpa it sounds like a bunch of dogs barking. But slightly less good.)
Don't get me wrong, there are a few really great songs on SYOTOS - most notably Twisted Transistor, Politics, Hypocrites, Coming Undone, Seen It All and Tearjerker. The overall vibe is just not very KoRn-ish, you know what I mean? Let me know when you check the album, I want to know if this is the attribute our genes haven't determined beforehand
And sorry for the confusion - I was just too lazy to say "the occasional vocalist and main guitarist of SOAD and the main vocalist and guitarist of Scars on Broadway". Don't shoot me...
Major Label - Scissors

I'd have to say Untouchables isn't very Korn-ish, hahah. Though I'll readily admit Throw Me Away is nothing like my other Korn albums, either, it just has that clean/layered, pristine/complicated industrial sound I love so much. Heck, I'd love Korn period simply because off all the changes their sound's gone through. It's awesome to step back and really look at.
*lols* I'll try to restrain my trigger finger. Really.
Blame - Korn. I do love that tiny little bass solo I admit. Can't even hear it with these speakers, but I know it's there.
