"We’ve never tried to come off as better than our fans, our fans... when they come to see us play, they’re actually a part of, you know, us playing. Sonny, the way he is on stage, he connects with them, emotional and in every kind of way you can imagine, you know, musically, and I think that they can see that it’s not, you know, a put on, it’s not something that’s fake, it’s real." - Mark Daniels of P.O.D.

The internal jukebox is going. We've got Shinedown by Godsmack, Somewhat Damaged by NIN, Inside the Fire by Disturbed, and snippets from songs I don't know the names of. Spectacular.
^ I would love to hear that. May never be able to sing along per se, but would still love to hear that none the less
I am listening to the council workers across the tracks. And the trucks. And the sound of traffic. And the wind blowing through tree tops. Another boring day in the country my friends.
^ Hah, well, unless you can develope ways to both time travel ('cause you can bet I'll never had that particuar mishmash again) and read minds, good luck with that.
Even Deeper - NIN
One of only like 3 songs where he uses the word 'okay.' "I'm okay, I won't crack" and "Well okay enough, you've had your fun" (from Where Is EveryBody?) and I think there's one from With Teeth, but I haven't listened to W_T recently. Might not be. Wait, isn't 'okay' used in The Slip, too? In Demonseed or something, maybe Echoplex? Better question - why am I obsessing over this? Better answer - obsessing is fun.
Well that was a lovely conversation. Thank you, self.
Which inexplicibably makes me think of Jonathan from TPA. I must've been listening to it while writing one of his scenes. Or something. Also I read a book with a Jonathan in it recently - started off and I was thinking "God, every time this guy's mentioned I'm gonna be picturing my Jonathan" but he was a minor character and about as slimy as mine anyway, so no biggie *lol*
"slimy" *lol* You paint the most graphic of pictures sometimes - so thanks!
I am listening to... the roadworks, still. But the chicken boiling away in the frypan is also adding to this sensory overload. Woot for non-musical sounds. Well, I guess Joe Hahn or Trent Reznor or even Rob Zombie would still manage to make songs out of them
Ohhh could this be another band for me to be briefly obsessed by? A friend IMed me a link to the 'tube video, and the quality kinda sucks, but the song sounds freakin' awesome. Lycia = on The List. Moving up above Dragonforce at least, maybe higher.
Girl, I'm telling you, give the boys from the southtown a go!
Deftones - Minerva

Internal jukebox: Trapt's These Walls, NIN's Demonseed, Korn's Make Me Bad, Disturbed's Liberate, and some Elvis Presley song which is totally my fault for giving a character the middle name Presley.
"I can't escape, walking down these halls, gotta find a place where there are no walls." "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah - It keep growing, and I can feel it breath ... I have been trying, t-t-to tolerate you." "I need a fix, you need it too ... Just to get some sort of attention, attention ..." "So narrow-minded, so narrow-minded, so liberate your mind, come motherf*cker will you liberate your mind, this time." And something about blue-suede shoes.
*sigh* It's ungodly.

^ OMFG LMFAO - that was great! Still laughing. Your poor mind...
Um I wasn't listening to anything, but then I went looking for the Disturbed - Remember vid and got that stuck in my head again. God damn catchy songs *sigh*
^ Hmph, well I'm glad someone got some enjoyment out of it *sulks* Though really, if I could record my little musical Frankenstein's monsters, I'd make an awesome DJ.
Still got These Walls - Trapt periodically leaping out of the abyss, which is weird and annoying since I don't like it that much and can't remember all the words. Externally it's the deepfreeze humming, the birds chirping away outside (cheerfull little f*ckers), people snoring, a computer whirring, a dog down the street barking, my own keyboard clackin' away, a vehical that just went down the road ... Sounds quite noisy, but it's actually fairly peaceful. I can ignore 95% of that easily, I just happen to have good hearing despite the whole blasting-NIN-at-max-volume-straight-into-my-eardrums-regularly thing.
Goddamnit I need sleep I'm ranting again and didn't even realize.
Seriously, I'm happy to be a member of this family! Jess, you crack me up!
36 Crazyfists - Kenai
EDIT: For the record, I was referring to P.O.D. earlier.

^ Something told me it might be P.O.D. Must be the ol' ESP at work again *lol*
Reclaim My Place - Korn
My brother: I like the one where he just starts randomly screaming 'What the f*ck?!' Me: (having not heard it yet) Oh-kayyyy. (Later, when it first comes on) Ohhh. Okay.
