It's weird. I like them in that sort of "Hey it's Metallica, that's cool" way if I hear them in my bro's room or something, but don't generally actually choose to stick the Black Album or Puppets or Lightning in and listen to it. But I've been at it all day except for Shinedown while I was at class. Oooh, I do love this one though, 'specially live S&M:
"We’ve never tried to come off as better than our fans, our fans... when they come to see us play, they’re actually a part of, you know, us playing. Sonny, the way he is on stage, he connects with them, emotional and in every kind of way you can imagine, you know, musically, and I think that they can see that it’s not, you know, a put on, it’s not something that’s fake, it’s real." - Mark Daniels of P.O.D.
This song is actually about HURT's fans (and random, non-fan headbangers) not paying attention to the lyrical content and the meanings of their songs.
Pay more attention to what's aforementioned as you bob your head 'cause you're not even listening a very small few of you even get meanings but laugh, clown boy, laugh 'cause it's always so pleasing...
Feel, d*mn you, feel, like you're alive again I needed to know, needed a show of hands for all this Couldn't be sure as we see a lot of them and I traded it all, could I make a difference et al?
How clever is that? On top of that, the last verse is actually about a (broken) love relationship to test if anyone would try and interpret it (because obviously, that verse has nothing to do with the rest of the song).
I got a lot to learn from J. Loren Wince. Seriously, this guy is becoming my idol.

^ OMG Supernatural reference. Another fangirl just exploded *lol* I'm just being silly (sillier) I remember someone else online used to give me sh*t when I mentioned that song being the unofficial themesong for the show (yeah I watch for the plot *cough*BS*cough* - No seriously!) So needless to say I can't listen to it without thinking of Padackles. Yay Padackles. And I'll shut up about that right about now...
I am listening to 'Git Up' - D12 No wait. That's '6 in the morning' - D12 There we go.

I can't help it, I always have to sarcastically isnert "Wow, you don't know much, do you?" at one point in this song. Anyone who knows it should be able to figure out where. Probably my least favorite or second-to-least from With Teeth, which doesn't say much since (unlike most hardcore NIN fans apparently *tch*) I reckon it's one of the best albums. Fragile, then Spiral, then Teeth. Not counting YZ though.
EDIT: Typed 'Confusion' instead of 'Confession'. Is it really that obvious that my mind is wandering?

^ On the bright side, that's probably not as bad as me nearly typing 'Distracted' instead of 'Disturbed' one time
A couple minutes ago it was Do What They Say - Korn, but since those earbuds kinda hurt my ears, I took them out. Now nothing, though I've got Wayward Son in my head again for some reason.
"Carry on my wayward son There'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more
... And if I claim to be a wise man It surely means that I don't know ...
^ Stuck there like a tumor huh? Good luck getting that out ;)
Trap door - Ozzy Osbourne
Loved Black Rain when it came out. Lisa got it. We played it all the time at the restaurant, so when I hear this album I think of the fun times we used to have back then. Most recently however I had the song on repeat lastnight writing a... um... confrontational scene for my charrie in RP where he basically assualted his gf. He's a little twisted, what can I say, I like 'em that way ;) Needless to say THAT song's stuck in my head now. Can think of way worse things to wake up to, that's for sure.
And, like with Got the Life, I can no longer listen to this song without seeing the live clip in my head. Not that that's a bad thing or anything. But it can be a little awkward Ohhh and I'm going to give my mom this song for Christmas, on a mix cd I'm making her. Last track. We'll see what she makes of it.
Off Donnie Darko strack. It's stuck and wont get out either. Mix that with Ozzy's Black Rain album and it sounds like musical soup in my head right about now
Ahhh much better than cha-click-BOOM. It was Shinedown that lulled me to sleep though, and now I want to wake up. Probably switch to Disturbed or Korn or, quite likely, NIN in a bit.
